Trip to Dharamsala

Hello,
sorry it has been a while, but we did not have good access to internet while in Dharamsala,
well the trip began with a hair raising 10 1/2 hour taxi ride through the dark of night on Oct.  2 , I have to note here that this is usually a twelve hour drive but our driver was so good at speeding around everything around all those pesky dangerous curves in the road.   I remember thinking that I would text my friend Michelle because it was 10:00 am Seattle time and tell her that we weren't sure if we were going to make it or not but I was so car sick by that point I would have thrown up!
Anyway obviously we made it and got to  the friend of a friends house  that we stayed at,which happened to look  over this awesome valley between the mountains around Dharamsala, amazing! everyday the local hawks would just soar around the balcony and throughout the valley.
On the 4th we all went to see H.H. Dalai Lama's teachings we were unable to sit in the main temple where he was sitting ( we got there too late, should have got there on the 1st) anyway we were sitting 5 people away from where he walked by to come in to the temple.  This was wonderful, especially since Colin was not about to spend a day listening to teachings,  so I at least feel happy that he recieved the blessings from His Holiness when he walked by, and then I had to take  him back to the apt.  So Larry got to stay for one day of the teachings by himself and then I stayed for the next so we were happy.

We had a lot of fun in Dharamsala, it is a pretty funky, place all these tiny narrow roads going up and down curvy hill sides.  everyday almost like clock work the clouds would come in and the thunder would start to rumble and the rain would come pouring down, we got stuck in one thunderstorm and as we stood under the tarp of a shop, Colin got the biggest kick out of watching the water rush by carring watermeon veggies, bottles you name it he was just cracking up. watching it go by and then disappearing there were many TIbetans living  there also, and they had booths selling TIbetan crafts and Buddhist practice supplies  in fact they call Dharamsala  little Tibet so we naturally did a little shopping  : ) not too much .  Anyway that  was our first two days now I will add some pictures : )
